Thanks for the questions. In terms of how many copies of each edition were printed, it's very difficult to know. It's safe to assume that it was a fairly large number. In terms of how many were signed - many books during this time period carry signatures and ownership marks, so it's hard to know. I'm not sure I'm aware of any signed by Bernard, but it certainly seems possible that, as the author, he might have presented some copies of his book to people.

Hello , you seem to know alot about the book . You taik of 18 copy , how many books where there to start with ? How many were signed ? An what would the one of the first edition given to cap. smith be worth today ? I would really like to sell mine . I have done alot of back ground work on this and most don't seem to believe the book is real or they don't even wish to touch it one could say . As though their afriad of it... any way contact me if you'd like ... the book is a first edition . I call it THE BOOK....
