Military Records

The field of military records is vast and complicated.  Generally defined, they are the personnel records of (most) everyone involved in the military.  Where to look for reliable primary sources to use depends on the era, branch of service, volunteer or draftee, origin, etc.  Genealogy web pages are the best source for information on how to find and use these records, which include Ancestry.com and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA.)
