The Suffolk county Files Collection is a complete listing for all of Massachusetts of all courts for the 18th century. There are several indices for this massive collection. The Middlesex Folio Collection is indexed on microfilm and holds cases dated prior to 1740. The Middlesex County Court of Common Pleas is a collection of civil cases in several volumes. And the Middlesex County Court of General Sessions of the Peace Record Books is a collection of crimal cases in three volumes.
